03 Jul Pause for thought: Gratitude, magic and pausing
Our Friday posts are a pause, a little tidbit, maybe even something to get the gears going for you…so I’m going to ask this today: Do you believe in Magic? Do you have time in your day to think about magic?
Not magic like pulling a bunny out of a hat, but magic…but like belief and trust in something bigger than yourself, something that gives you new perspective and makes your eyes grow wide with wonder and…gratitude?
I’ve been spending time recently practicing belief in magic, through gratitude. Gratitude for everything in my life even if it isn’t exactly how I imagine it at the moment. Gratitude for all I have, and gratitude for all to come. This pause in my day to be grateful is intentional…a conscious pause of sort if you will, in order to see and feel the magic of the Universe and my life as it is. The magic is that this totally shifts how you see life.
Rhonda Byrne, author of The Magic says “No matter who you are, no matter where you are, not matter what your current circumstances, the magic of gratitude will change your entire life”
Perhaps you feel the busyness of the day and think to yourself…I’ll pause tomorrow, I’ll take the time to do x,y,z tomorrow or even that you don’t believe in magic.
We never know how many tomorrows we have, and we should always be grateful for what’s in our lives today.
